Committee Responsibilities

Public Relations - direct and ensure positive public image of the camp.
Newsletter - publish quarterly letter to all members.
Finances - advise and direct all financial responsibilities and publish yearly budget.
Insurance - supervise coverage and any claims.
Fund Raising - develop and supervise all fund raising efforts.
Historian - track and record historical data of the camp.
Booster Clubs - develop and encourage local clubs in area churches.
Membership - recruit and develop annual membership drive and support.
Director Elections - direct or assign yearly board member elections.

Current Committee Projects

• 40/40/40 Bike Trek across Nebraska
  • The 1998 & 199 Bike Treks were great successes! Please sign up for the 3nd annual Bike Trek. If you are interested please contact NYC
• NYC Cookbook (Cover shown above)
  • We received over 500 recipes for the cookbook. The NYC cookbooks are still for sale. If you would like to purchase one please send an email to Judy Pierce or contact your nearest NYC Board member. The cost is $10.00 each.
• NYC Reps (Reaching Every Person).
  • If you would like to be the NYC Rep for your town, please contact NYC.
• NYC Alumni Club.
  • We are looking for someone to start a NYC Alumni club. We know there are thousands of former staff and campers out there that are still interested in NYC. We would like to keep them informed about what is going on and give them a chance to support the camp for future generations.
• Buy a Brick
  • Engraved paving bricks to replace the writing on the walls that was painted over a few years ago. Reminders for the generations to come. If there is enough interest we may use them to make paths for a rock garden.
• Member Day
  • We would like to have the membership gather at the camp each year to see what has been done and show plans for the future.
