NYC PROJECT CAMP 2008

Open to up to 40 campers, from the evening of June 4 through breakfast of June 10. The campers will be asked to work 7 to 8 hours for four days that week on projects approved by the Board of Directors. The camp will be offered at no cost to the campers, other than any canteen items they wish to purchase. The camp will be open to campers completeing grades 8 through 12. Time will be set aside for devotionals, and playing and talking together. In addition to the campers there will be a Director, Head Cook, Nurse, and Project leaders. The campers will only be accepted with a sponsor's (other than their parents) endorsement, who will fill out the recommendation portion of the application, which can be printed out from the link below.

Purpose of Project Camp:
1. To teach the role of a servant by providing the opportunity to serve.
2. To serve the camp by completing projects of use to the camp facility.
3. To study God's Word.

Possible Projects for 2008:
Replace floor in Bob-o-link cabin
Install power roof ventilators on camper cabins
Concrete pads or decks for cabins
Waterfront - Docks, swimming ropes and boats
Camp Fire circles - fire wood and seating
Mowing
Remove brush piles and stumps
Dirt work and landscaping around maintenance building
Replace electrical wiring and outlets in cabins
Buildings - repair doors and screens
Tree trimming from buildings and power lines
