Judy Pierce has been involved with the Nebraska Youth Camp for 17 years, serving in many different roles at various camp sessions. Judy has served on the Board of Directors as President, Secretary, and Committee Chair. She has served the camp as a Session Director, Co-Session Director, Cook, Kitchen Helper, and Teacher, and has served at the Beginners, Junior, and Intermediate sessions, as well as the Midwest Youth Rally.
At her local congregation, 56th & Vine church of Christ in Lincoln Nebraska, she serves as a Kindergarten and First Grade teacher, in Benevolence, and coordinates various efforts such as Leadership Training for Christ, Widows Outreach, and Saints Outreach Night (SON). SON is a community outreach effort that delivers several weeks of groceries to needy families.
“ I serve on the Board to see that there is a place for young Christian children to grow in their walk with God and surround themselves with other Christians, young to old. I love to go out to camp and serve, to challenge the children to grow in their relationship with God. Each year I work at making camp a better place for the children to come to. ”
Judy uses her church experiences, and her detailed oriented experiences in management, finance, and nursing to serve the camp. For the past 32 years she has worked at St. Elizabeth's Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse.
Outside of camp and church, Judy enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.
Judy's favorie scripture is Ephesians 2:8-10 “ For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. ”
