Facilities Committee
Andrea Leinen has been involved with Nebraska Youth Camp for 27 years. She has served the Board for a combined total of 17 years and has served in roles such as Committee Chairperson and Secretary. Andrea has volunteered as a Teacher, Kitchen Helper, Retreat Leader, and Construction Worker, serving mainly at the Junior session, and also at the Midwest Youth Rally.
In her local church in Council Bluffs Iowa Andrea teaches a ladies Bible study and heads up the Women's Ministries. For many years she taught childrens and ladies classes.
“ We have a dedicated group of men and women that serve on the board that all have a heart for the Lord and NYC. I have served on the Facilities Committee for several years now and it has been very rewarding seeing all that has been accomplished.
Nebraska Youth Camp has been a part of our family's life for many years. All five of our children attended there and continue to serve in various capacities. Two of our sons met their wives and my daughter got engaged there. We now have six of our eight grandchildren attending and serving at NYC. My husband, Bill, and I enjoy spending a week together there each spring working on various projects. NYC has been a blessing to our lives and I pray that the legacy will continue for many more generations to come. ”
Andrea uses her teaching and organization skills to serve the camp. The people at Nebraska Youth Camp motivate her to continue serving year after year.
Outside of church and camp Andrea enjoys reading, gardening, shopping, and spending time with family.
Andrea's favorite scripture is Ephesians 5:20 “ Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. ”
